Long Green Line Golf Invitational – August 4th

The Long Green Line Booster Club will hold its 4th annual golf invitational on Saturday, August 4th @ McCormick Creek Golf Club in Nappanee.  Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. with a shotgun start at 2:00 p.m.  Dinner to follow the golf scramble at the course starting at approximately 6:30 p.m.  All proceeds will benefit the student-athletes of

Ricketts Hits Opponents, Books

A starting offensive lineman for Ball State University, Zac Ricketts also excels in the classroom.  The 2014 BHS graduate was recently named to the 2017 Mid-America Conference All Academic Football Team.  Zac carries a 3.492 GPA while majoring in Industry and Technology.  Congratulations Zac!

NIC Honors Bremen Football

The Northern Indiana Conference has announced its 2017 All Conference Football team.  Sam Huffman was selected to the NIC 1st Team at tight end.  Jake Wunder and Nate Mullen were named to the NIC’s 2nd Team.  Branden Martin and Briley Leeper received Honorable Mention.  Congratulations Sam, Jake, Nate, Branden and Briley!

Experiences from BHS Athletics

Bremen High School students obtaining a physical education waiver through their participation in athletics are required to write a paper on the experience.  One student-athlete wrote:  “Football has taught me physical and mental fitness.  Doing all the workouts and weightlifting, made me feel healthy and gave me self-confidence that helped me at home and at school. 

Miller Insurance Group “Players of the Game”

The Miller Insurance Group sponsors the “BREMEN PLAYERS OF THE GAME” at all home football games.  Last Friday night’s Miller Insurance Group Players of the game were Ryan Caldwell, Zach Burkholder and Arizona Nies.  The Lions travel to Bluffton on Friday for the opening round of Sectional.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Miller Insurance Group sponsors the “BREMEN PLAYERS OF THE GAME” at all home football games.  Friday’s Miller Insurance Group Players of the game were Branden Martin, Jacob Wunder and Alex Stouder.  The Lions defeated the South Bend Clay Colonials 43-7.  Presenting the awards was Greg Miller.
