Girls Varsity Track · Girls Varsity Track finishes 2nd place at Northwood

  Place Points
NorthWood High School 1st 98
Bremen High School 2nd 28

On a cold, but sunny Saturday morning, the Lady Lions took on a tough and talented Northwood Panthers team. Although the final score didn’t go the way the team was hoping, the girls fought hard, both against the competition and the wind. Even in adverse conditions, numerous girls improved on the track and in the field events.

The most important moment of the meet came before the competition even started when the girls and boys captains were able to gift $2,000 to Norm and Kim Sellers. Norm was on hand to receive the gift on behalf of his family. The gift was a Bremen school community effort through a track fundraiser. As Kim continues to battle cancer, the Lions will fight with her!

Although the Panthers were tough throughout the meet, sophomore Raven White took two firsts in the PV and 200 meter dash, while Senior Kaitlyn Cullers took first in the 300 meter hurdles.
