The Bremen Lady Lions Track team had their best meet of the season at just the right time. Heading into the Plymouth Sectional on Tuesday night, the girls were focused and ready to take their opportunities. Amidst perfect track and field weather, many girls had their season best and personal best efforts.

Standout performances on the night came from junior Rachel Hall and sophomore Raven White. Hall advanced to the Regional by placing 3rd in both the 1600 and 800 meter runs and improving her times by almost a combined 20 seconds. White became the Sectional Champion in the pole vault with a new personal best and finished 3rd in the 200 meter dash.

The 4×400 relay team of Lauren Miller, Caroline Bickel, Rachel Hall, and Brylie Libey took nearly made it to the regional finishing 4th by inches, but improving their season best time by over 5 seconds. Libey also placed 6th in the high jump and 7th in the 400 meter dash. Giselle Jimenez had a season best time in the 800 by 9 seconds to place 7th in the 800 meter run. Katy Whittaker had one of her best throws in discus on the season to place 9th. Cori Jones completed a personal best in pole vault to place 8th overall.

In one of the most unique circumstances to happen in Girls Track history at Bremen, the 4×100 relay team of Lydia Stamm, Zoey France, Lauren Miller, and Raven White ran their best time of the season, but were impeded during the finish of the race and finished 4th, nearly missing a shot at the Regional. The girls were given the opportunity to rerun the race after the conclusion of the meet and decided to go for it. Supported by a large and loud Bremen fan group, the girls took the track as the lone 4×100 team and ran another fantastic time. Although they narrowly missed moving on, the girls showed grit and their coaches and teammates were extremely proud of them (video of the race can be seen here by copying the link into your browser): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iqcgrU68wu03MzR8-Y_0w-wpEeA3u8aW/view?usp=sharing)
