Taking 11th place in an incredibly talented field of Class B teams at the Goshen Relays, the Bremen Boys track and field team came away with some great performances on the day.

Junior Evan Manges was the Class B High Jump Champion clearing 6’0″. Manges also placed seventh in the 110 meter hurdle finals, lead off the 4th place 4×400 relay team, and anchored the 4×200 relay.

Fellow Junior Patrick Lacher placed 5th in Class B discus with a new personal best of 131’03”. Junior Justin Zumbrun finished 8th in a gutsy performance in the 110 hurdle finals after coming back from a hard fall during the 4×200 hand-off directly before the hurdle finals. Senior Chase Carrico placed 6th in the Class B Pole Vault clearing 11’6″. Carrico also lead off the 4×100 meter relay team and ran on the 4×400 relay team.

The team worked hard throughout the meet and supported their teammates well. The boys look forward to Tuesday when they host NIC opponents St. Joe and Mishawaka in their final home meet.
