Sectional Champs! Bremen Baseball tops Jimtown 3-1 to win Sectional #34

'The Mint City Firecracker' went off again, this time to the tune of a complete game win, his sixth against conference opponents. Jimtown only had six baserunners the entire game and Cencelewski only needed 80 pitches to go the distance.

Left fielder Zack Buszkiewicz went 3-3. His two-out line drive single in the first gave Bremen the lead, and he scored the Lions' second run of the game in the third, going first to third on a single and coming in on an errant throw on the same play.

Burk's Bench Brigade made its presence felt with a flood of positive energy throughout the contest. Catcher Zack Rouch (front) caught the gem and also had two hits in the game. His courtesy runner Maddux Hickman scored on both trips.

SS Aiden Alvarado's single allowed Buszkiewicz to come around in the third. He drove in Hickman in the fifth with a sac fly to left.

The Sectional title was also the 2026 team's 20th win of the season. They sit 20-7 on the season, can claim conference and sectional titles, and will take on Bluffton this Saturday in the regional (location TBD).
