Lions survive sectional semi, come back to beat Knox 7-5

Casey Ton took the ball with no outs in the 4th and - after a two run single - only allowed one hit over the next four innings, keeping the Lions alive.

Sophomore 2B Jace Pippenger tied the game with a two out single in the 6th. He also came in to score the go-ahead run.

Zack Rouch hit his second home run of the tournament to get Bremen on the board in the 4th. His double down the left field line brought in Pippenger to give Bremen a 6-5 lead.

Sophomore SS Aiden Alvarado ripped a solo home run in the sixth to spark the five run Bremen rally.

The Lions came back from a 5-0 deficit, scoring two in the fourth and five in the sixth to advance to Monday's Sectional Final. While it was undoubtedly a tightrope act, the team's 'simple faith in success' prevailed again in a must-win game.
