Varsity vs Whiting High School Win The Bremen Lions opened sectional play in dominant fashion, defeating the Whiting Oilers 34-0. The Lions set the tone early with touchdowns from Hunter Cannon, Braydon Pearish, and Jack Wildauer. Nic Slusser electrified the crowd with an interception returned for a touchdown — or as the team celebrated, “Nic 6 got a pick 6!” Wildauer later added another highlight, returning a punt for a touchdown to cap off the Lions’ impressive night. The defense was rock solid from start to finish, anchored by strong performances from Logan Fredrickson, Slusser, and Jace Pippenger. The Lions will face Rensselaer Central next week at home.
