Bremen Athletics

The Bremen Lions welcomed Trinity Academy for the second home night game of the season and program history. The matchup on paper looked tight statistically and proved to be just that throughout the game. Physical and fast back and forth play marked the beginning of the game, but the Lions struck early on with a beautiful corner kick from Joel Gonzalez finished by Gio Gallegos on the back post. The teams would continue to fight for possession throughout the first half with Bremen entering half time up 1-0. The second half continued to be a battle with both teams trying to find a way to gain an advantage. It was another set piece that allowed the Lions to find a second goal as Gio Gallegos sent in a deep free kick that challenged the Trinity keeper and was pushed over the line by Nathan Schnaible. Trinity would pull one back about 10 minutes later on a deep free kick of their own. The remaining six minutes were intense, but Bremen stay foucsed and fought to finish out the win.
