Varsity vs Elkhart High School (1 - 1) Tie The Bremen Varsity Girls battled hard in a well-fought opener against Elkhart, finishing with a 1-1 tie. We had several girls making their varsity debuts, and they did a great job! Brynn Stahley had an amazing first game in goal, while Lola Bender and Karla Arias helped hold things down on defense. Kenley Martinez had her first game at midfield and made a great setup that led to Kate Kincaid’s goal. Sophia Sahlhoff had a great first game, making some nice runs on the wing and getting a shot on goal. Lydia Johnson and Giselle Diaz also got some great minutes up top and showed a lot of promise. Our returning players stepped up as well. Lila Meyer and Allison Klingerman helped keep the defense strong, while Eva Rader, Nahomi Moncada, Avery Shifflett, and Allyson Gonzalez helped strengthen the midfield. Kate Kincaid also returning and showed off her speed with lots of fast runs on the ball. Lots of new faces, lots of firsts, and definitely plenty to build on. Proud of this group and excited to see what the rest of the season brings!
