The Mighty Lions of Bremen Boys' Soccer had a tremendous pre-season and were looking to start the season off right on the road in their first game against local rivals Plymouth. The atmosphere at Plymouth was intense from the kickoff and both schools were incredibly well represented in their fan support. Plymouth took advantage of their home field and atmosphere with a barrage of chances in the first 20 minutes of the game and found the back of the net once. The Lions weathered the storm and settled their nerves as the first half went on and started to play their game creating multiple scoring opportunities. The team broke through toward the end of the first half as Gio Gallegos scored on a corner kick from Alan Barrera. The team would take this momentum into the second half scoring three goals, two from Nathan Schnaible and one from Lincoln Yoder, with Alex Gallegos creating two assists and Austin Town adding one. Plymouth would find a goal late in the 2nd half, but the Lions roared their way to victory with a 4-2 win.
