Lions Compete at Boys' Regional Championship at Warsaw

By Mark Yoder | May 29, 2026 12:16 PM

Six Mighty Lions traveled to Warsaw High School on Thursday evening to compete in the Regional Championship meet. The boys had qualified from the Plymouth Sectional meet last Thursday with Caleb McClaid as a top 3 finisher in pole vault, Jack Kincaid as a next best callback in pole vault, and the 4x800 relay as a next best callback. Senior captain Caleb McClaid lead the team throughout the season in pole vault and as a member of the 4x100 relay. He went out at 12' in the Regional competition and closed out a fantastic senior season for the Lions. Jack Kincaid was able to clear 12' in the Regional competition and then went out at 12'6". Kincaid then joined teammates Ben Brady, Joseph Davis, and Lincoln Yoder for the 4x800 relay. Senior captain Ben Brady started off the relay very well running his best 800 split of the season with a 2:04.57. Davis and Yoder carried that momentum and ran their best splits of the season as well and the team finished with their best overall time of the season with an 8:48.98. Espen Simpson represented the Lions as the alternate for the 4x800 relay. The team is incredibly proud of these individuals and their efforts!
