The Lions took the lead when Peyton Reed walked in the second inning and scored on a Makenzie Shumaker triple. The game went scoreless until Jimtown plated a pair of runs after a walk, infield hit and a pair of sacrifice flyouts in the top of the 5th inning. Jimtown added a pair of runs after a walk, hit-by-pitch and a pair of hits in the top of the 6th. Eliana Grubbs scored in the bottom of the 6th after reaching third base on a throwing error & scored on a wild pitch. This cut the lead to 4-2 and that was the final. The Lions had a chance to tie it after Aubri O’Keefe reached first after strikeout and a past ball in the bottom of the 7th, but were not able to make the full comeback. The Lions loan hits were from Shumaker with a double & triple. Carter Mason suffered the from the circle tossing a 4 hitter while striking out 2 and allowing 4 free passes. WP – C.
