5/16 – Bremen Tourney Game 2 - Lady Lion Softball with a walk-off win against Wheeler – 7-6.

The Bremen Lady Lion Softball team trailed 6-4 thru 6-1/2 innings, but saved the best (bottom of 7th) inning for last, as Peyton Reed and Makenzie Shumaker walked, Aubri O’Keefe laid down a sacrifice bunt, after a strikeout, Eliana Grubbs hit the first pitch she saw, and the laser cleared the left-center-field fence with ease and the Lions salvaged the day with a 7-6 victory. The Lions got the scoring started after a single by Eliana Grubbs & then Lili Cullen homered to give the Lions a 2-0 lead. After a Wheeler run in the top of the 2nd, the Lady Lions played long ball again. After a Peyton Reed single, Makenzie Shumaker homered to give the Lions a 4-1 advantage. Wheeler added a 3-run home run in the top of the 3rd to tie the game at 4. Wheeler then added runs in the top of both 6th & 7th innings before the fireworks by the Lions in the bottom of the frame. Lexi Mammon & Carter Mason & split duties from the circle with Mason collecting the win in relief. WP – C. Mason 2.2IP, 2R, 0ER, 5H, 0BB, 4K, L.
