The Mighty Lions of Bremen Track and Field went into Wednesday night's INSC Championship meet knowing the competition was going to be fierce, but were determined to fight for every place and point in an attempt to win the team trophy. The meet started extremely well with the 4x800 relay team of Espen Simpson, Joseph Davis, Lincoln Yoder, and Jack Kincaid finishing as conference champions. As the meet continued, the scores remained close between LaVille, Bremen, and Glenn. The Lions were picking up points were necessary and were outperforming their seeds in many races. Senior Jacob Douglass made his return from injury to place 3rd overall in the 100, doing so from the "slower" first heat and 2nd overall in the 200. The 4x100 relay of Ian Pepin-Lizardo, Caleb McClaid, Brayden Pearish, and Josue Pepin-Lizardo had a photo finish second place as Josue edged out the LaVille anchor. Toward the end of the meet, LaVille was able to pull away, but the boys never stopped giving their absolute best in every event. Senior Ben Brady was fought hard to become the conference Champion in the 800 meter run. The boys placed second overall as a team, but their determination and effort was nothing short of a championship performance.
