The Bremen Lady Lion softball team hosted Plymouth on Saturday morning & couldn’t quite muster up enough runs to pull out the win. Plymouth hit the ball & took advantage of Bremen’s defensive issues to score 7 runs in the top of the second inning. The Lions answered with 5 runs in the bottom of the frame to cut the lead to two. Each team had runners on thru the next 2 innings, but could not cross the plate. Plymouth added a run in the 4th, Bremen answered with two in the bottom of the 6th to cut the lead again to 1. After a 1 out walk to Ivy Stackhouse L. Runyan homered to increase the lead & final Lion deficit of 3 runs. Eliana Grubbs had 3 hits including a double, scoring twice, Lili Cullen & Makenzie Shumaker had two hits each, Isabella Calentine, Mady Milleman, Peyton Reed, and Karla Arias each had singles. Carter Mason suffered the loss allowing seven runs, only 4 earned. Lexi Mammon came in & held the Pilgrams to 3 runs on 7 hits in her 5.2 innings of work.
