Match after match stretched deep into long game counts, with several contests reaching the 8-game mark and beyond. Players traded points in grueling rallies, often forcing deuce after deuce before finally claiming a single game. In the end, the final score hardly told the full story. While one team may have come out on top in total matches won, the real takeaway was the level of competition.
