The Lady Lions of Bremen Track and Field roared they way into a 6th place finish at the Hoosier State Relays state indoor meet on Saturday. The girls had to qualify for the state meet by competing in an indoor qualifying meet and declare as one of the top 24 relays or individuals in the state for the 1-3A class. Going into the Hoosier State Relays on Saturday, multiple teams knew they had a chance to medal as one of the top 9 teams in the state competition. Skylee Feathers represented the Lady Lions as the lone field event participation in the high jump competition. The 4x200 relay team of senior Sara Sahlhoff, sophomore Kate Kincaid, sophomore Sophia Sahlhoff, and senior Emma Kincaid dropped multiple seconds off their qualifying time for an impressive 1:48.33 that would see them medal as 5th overall. The 4x400 relay of Sara Sahlhoff, freshman Lola Bender, and the Kincaid sisters had an incredible race in the final heat and ran the 4th fastest time in school history with a 4:08.16! This placed them 3rd overall in the state competition. We are incredibly proud of these young ladies and the way they represented the Bremen School Community!
