Bremen Athletics

The Bremen Girls Track and Field team had their first meet of the season on Saturday competing at the Bulldog Invite hosted at Indiana Tech Warrior Park in Fort Wayne. The girls had tied for first the previous year and competed strong again this year with a 3rd place team finish out of 18 teams. Many athletes returning from last year’s team brought experience and poise, while a few new faces added to the team’s success. The Bulldog Invite is a qualifying meet for the State Indoor Finals (Hoosier State Relays) on March 28. Sophomore Skylee Feathers had a great jumping day clearing 5’ which currently ties her for 16th place in the state high jump qualifying. Senior sprinter Emma Kincaid had a personal best in the 60m dash with a time of 8.23, currently putting her in a tie for 21st position in state qualifying. The 4x200 relay team of Sara Sahlhoff, Kate Kincaid, Sienna O’Connor, and Emma Kincaid is currently qualifying for the state meet in 15th place with a time of 1:51.91. The 4x400 relay team is currently ranked as the #5 team in the state with a blazing time of 4:15.68. That relay is composed of Sara Sahlhoff, Lola Bender, and Kate and Emma Kincaid.
