The Bremen Boys Track and Field team headed to Indiana Tech’s Warrior Park on Saturday to compete in their first meet of the season, an indoor event known as the Bulldog Invite. The boys were excited to test their training against a strong field of teams in the 1-3A competition. Many Lions and relays did well on the day, highlighted by numerous finishes currently qualifying for the State Indoor meet on March 28. Senior pole vaulter Caleb McClaid placed first overall in the competition with a vault of 12’’0” which has him tied for 12th overall in the state indoor competition. The boys 4x800 relay team of Joseph Davis, Jack Kincaid, Lincoln Yoder, and Ben Brady finished 5th overall with a converted indoor time of 8:56.75, good enough to currently sit 20th overall in the state indoor competition. Freshman Josue Pepin Lizardo had a great 60 meter dash clocking a 7.47, setting him at 14th overall and as the only freshman competitor to place in the top 25 sprinters.
