The Bremen Lions are sectional champions for the first time since 1999, defeating Jimtown 53-43 at LaVille on Saturday night. It was an intense game featuring two very talented teams, and the Lions were able to deliver a strong fourth quarter to claim the title. Jimtown took the first quarter lead, but Bremen stormed back outscoring the Jimmies 18-8 in the second period. Chase Devine and Riley Tener had a combined 4 made threes in the quarter, along with two clutch buckets from Jack Wildauer. The game got tight in the third as Devine picked up his third foul, and a very good Jimtown team cut the lead to just 3 at the end of three quarters. Big buckets from Bryce Miller down the stretch, along with huge threes from Devine, Tener, and Hartley Mitole finished the job. The Lions now stand at 22-4 on the season, which marks the most wins by a boy's team in school history. Bremen will face Ft Wayne Luers at Huntington North next Saturday in the regional.
