Bremen Athletics

The 6th grade lady lions took on North Liberty in their last home game this season, and both games were a battle until the final whistle with the B game going into overtime! Unfortunately, the result on the scoreboard did not favor the lady lions tonight, but both games were well fought. The A team gave it there all but came up short, losing 24-18. They were able to score their most points offensively this season and moved the ball well as a team. Scoring was led by Mila McKinney with 9 points, followed by Rose Meister with 6 points, Mallee McCray with 2 and Nadia Walter with 1. The B team came back from behind when they were down 8-2 in the middle of the 3rd quarter taking the game into overtime at 10-10. In overtime, North Liberty was able to get a couple of quick baskets and so the lady lions fell just short and lost 14-12. Scoring was led by Cami Godoy with 6 points, followed by Lily Siefer, Kensington Ferguson, and Sandra Cruz each with 2 points. The lady lions will travel to Walkerton on Tuesday.
