The Lions traveled to East Chicago this morning for a chance to punch their ticket to state and continue the season for one more week. The Lions had 6 guys that wrestled. Results: 106: Keegan Holderman wrestled hard, but came up short against his Hanover Central opponent. Keegan finishes his sophomore season with a record of 20-9. 120: Nic Slusser wrestled well and came up short with his Harrison West Lafayette opponent. Nic finish his sophomore campaign with a record of 23-3. 126: Colin Moats wrestled a great match, but ultimately came up short against his West Central opponent. Colin finishes his junior year with a record of 23-7. 132: Raylon Moats wrestled hard against his Lowell opponent and came up short. Raylon finished his junior season with a record of 26-5 215: Brenden Rice wrestled hard against his Crown Point opponent and came up short. Brenden finishes his freshman year with a record of 23-14. 285: Logan Frederickson wrestled hard against his Lake Central opponent and came away with a fall. Moving him one step closer to punching his ticket to state. Logan would ultimately come up short in the ticket round against the #1 returning 285 state champ from Lowell. Logan ended his high school career today with a season record of 26-6. The coaching staff is proud of the way our guys have battled all season. This group of guys have accomplished a lot this season. We will get better and look to come back stronger and ready to take the next step next season.
