Boys basketball loses at Elkhart

By Matt Miller | Feb 7, 2026 5:26 PM

Bremen suffered their first loss of the season on the road on Saturday, falling to Elkhart 54-53 in overtime. The Lions had a very solid showing against an extremely tough and physical Elkhart squad but ultimately came up one bucket short. Elkhart jumped out to an early lead, but Bremen was able to tighten things up by the end of the first quarter, and the game remained closely contested throughout. As Elkhart started to pull away late in the contest, some heroics from Chase Devine helped get the game into overtime, as he made three incredibly difficult 3 point attempts late in regulation. Bremen had the ball with 5 seconds remaining in overtime, but were unable to come up with the winning basket. Chase Devine had a game high 31 and Riley Tener added 10.
