The Lions traveled to Penn this morning for IHSAA Regionals. The Lions ended up having 10 guys wrestle for a chance to compete at next week’s Semi-State. The Lions advance 6 kids out of the 10 that wrestled. The Lions finished 5th overall as a team. Results: 106 Keegan Holderman went 1-2 placing 4th and advancing to Semi-State 113 Cole Thomas came up short and did not qualify for Semi-State. He ends his sophomore season 19-8 120 Nic Slusser went 2-1 and placed 2nd. He advances to next week’s Semi-State. 126 Colin Moats went 2-1 and placed 3rd. He advances to next week’s Semi-State. 132 Raylon Moats went 2-1 and placed 3rd and advances to Semi-State 144 Braxton Ritter came up short and will be an alternate to Semi-State. 157 Ethan Borsodi was an alternate and got put in to wrestle at Regionals, he will also be an alternate to Semi-State. 190 Derek Miller came up short and will not advance to nexts week’s Semi-State. He ends his junior season with a record of 22-5. 215 Brenden Rice went 1-2 and placed 4th and will advance to next week’s Semi-State. 285 Logan Frederickson went 2-1 and placed 3rd and will move on to next week’s Semi-State. Six Lions look to get better this week and try and punch their ticket to the IHSAA State Finals.
