Bremen Baseball battled South Bend Saint Joseph last night in a highly contested contest. Bremen ended up just short 13-15. Although the Lions suffered a loss, the home plate umpire recognized both teams for their sportsmanship. Umpire Robert Lichtenberger graciously reported the following to the Indiana High School Athletic Association:
“In a game where 28 runs were scored with numerous close plays and pitches, I did not hear one word of negativity from either side. Both coaches were gentlemen and the kids were respectful of each other. Even though it was a long game, it was a joy to work because of the players and coaches.”
Thanks Bremen Baseball for representing our school in a positive light and showing good things about the LIONS!!
