Girls Varsity Track · Senior Bell Lap – Stephanie, Jasmine, Rachel, Maja, Giselle & Marie

Head Track Coach Mark Yoder, What an absolutely awesome group of young ladies to work with!  As coaches, we were so impressed with the way these girls had already stepped up in our pre-season to set a tone of EXCELLENCE for the entire team.  We have great senior leadership in the areas of Distance/Mid-Distance and Throws and were very excited to welcome our two young ladies from Germany as senior leaders in our sprints.  These girls have an incredible commitment to our school and community.  From roles in the musicals, competing on academic teams, serving in Boys and Girls Club, and leading in 4-H and FFA (just to name a few) these ladies are dedicated to the team concept of servant-leadership.”

“Amidst all of these different duties, they stay consistent and reliable in their training, in their roles as teammates, and within their academics.  It is so refreshing to see our athletes step up as role models for their peers, whether vocally or by quiet example.  This group of Lady Lions did this on a daily basis, both in the classroom and at practice, and were always looking to learn from their coaches so they could help make the team better.  No matter what I threw at them in training, they found a way to push through it together.”

“I will miss the way this group of girls showed up eager to learn and lead each and every day.  I will miss spending time with them on bus rides to the Girls’ Goshen Relays and the genuine care they showed for each other and our coaching staff.  I will certainly miss special moments and memories created during tough pre-season training, the in-between moments at meets, and our team cookouts at OxBow Park.  I am certain these young ladies will continue to strive for EXCELLENCE in everything they do and I can’t wait to see the impact they make as the next chapter in their story begins!”
