2020 TENNIS SENIORS:   EMILY SMITH – BAILEY VERMILLION

Head Tennis Coach Brita Miller:

“Emily has had a great amount of success in tennis at BHS. She has worked hard year-round to advance her level of play and to be a fierce competitor. Emily always comes ready to play and brings a determination in her play. We have greatly appreciated the competitiveness she brings. She has held the #1 singles spot for the last two years with strength and had great accomplishments. Her deep love for the game of tennis shines through. We wish you all the best Emily, you will be missed.”

“Bailey always did a great job of firing the team up and bringing everyone together. I have appreciated her leadership and the enthusiasm that she has displayed. Bailey is a great competitor and has a high level of intensity every time she comes to play. She also holds herself to a high level of play which allowed for her to have great success. I want to commend Bailey for her adaptability and always making things fun. We will miss you and wish you all the best.”

 

Emily Smith – daughter of Darlene Smith and Todd Smith.  Emily was a 4-year member of both the tennis and soccer teams.  She also played basketball for the Lions as a freshman.  Other school activities include Intramural Basketball, ACT Club and Spell Bowl.  After graduation, Emily plans to attend Indiana University Bloomington and study health sciences.

 

Bailey Vermillion – daughter of Tracie Knisley and Jeremy Vermillion.  Bailey was a 4-year member of the tennis, basketball and volleyball teams for the Lions.  Other school activities include Student Council and National Honor Society.  Bailey will attend Indiana University South Bend and study radiography. 

Emily and Bailey – Hard work pays off and you proved it by making our tennis program so strong.  You are two fierce leaders that are never out of a point.  Thank you for proudly continuing the Bremen Tennis Legacy.  Much continued success and you are ALWAYS welcome back at the courts!
