Meet Recap

On a cold and wet Saturday morning and afternoon, the Bremen Lions fought hard to win the 2017 Kouts Invitational Championship. Despite the weather, the boys put forth tremendous performances and showed grit throughout the event.

Individual event champions included Patrick Lacher in shot put, Hudson Thornton in disc, Chase Carrico in pole vault, Evan Manges in the 110 hurdles, Grant Klockow in the 400 meter dash, and Justin Zumbrun in the 300 hurdles.

Also scoring to help the team bring home the trophy were Patrick Lacher in the disc (8th), Garret Allen in shot put (2nd), Arizona Nies in pole vault (2nd), Briley Leeper (4th) and Kain Hammons (8th) in long jump, Evan Manges in high jump (3rd) and 300 hurdles (4th), Justin Zumbrun in 110 hurdles (5th), Grant Klockow in the 100 (2nd) and 200 (2nd), Evan Yoder in the 200 (5th) and 400 (6th), the 4×800 relay team of Luke Snyder, Logan Fish, Seth Young, and Kenny Hilgendorf (4th), the 4×100 meter relay team of Chase Carrico, Garrett Allen, Briley Leeper, and Kain Hammons (4th), and the 4×400 relay team of Manges, Yoder, Zumbrun, and Klockow (3rd).
