The junior varsity also won all of their matches or were ahead in them when the rains came. Of course, our big match is tomorrow against Plymouth. They will be tough competition for us. The match tomorrow is also a fundraiser for the Smash Cancer program which many tennis teams in Indiana participate to fight cancer and hopefully find a cure. Both teams will wear shirts colored to represent someone who has had a particular type of cancer. This year we will be wearing pink shirts in honor of Josh Ukinski’s mother who is a breast cancer survivor. Josh will be speaking briefly about his mother and her recovery while Amy Porteus of Plymouth will be speaking about her personal battle with cancer. Amy has had children who have played on Plymouth’s tennis teams and she was formerly a counselor here at Bremen as well. The program will start around 4:15 p.m. tomorrow night. See you there.
